David Stavrou

Stockholm based authorized guide, teacher and journalist.

Born and raised in Israel, my home-base is currently Stockholm though I spend long periods of time in Israel too. I work as a journalist, a guide and a teacher.

As a journalist I write about Sweden, Scandinavia and Europe in general for various publications in Israel and Sweden. I'm a regular contributor for Israeli daily, Haaretz, and have also written for Globes, i24News, Masa Acher and more. My English language articles appeared in Haaretz' English edition, Swedish web-site, The Local, South of Sweden magazine and more.

The Book "An Israeli Cross" which I co-authored with my brother, Daniel Stavrou, was published in 2014 by Israeli publisher Indibook.

As a guide I offer tours of Stockholm's sites for individuals, families and groups.
My tours include all of the city's main sites and can be tailor made to include any special interests groups may have (such as art, history, Stockholm's Jewish related sites and much more).

As I'm fluent in Hebrew, English and Swedish, I'm often hired by various media outlets, public institution and academics to assist with translation, research and logistical support.
